Two-component (2K) water-based polyurethane delivers the highest level of durability available in a water-based timber floor coating. By mixing a hardener with the lacquer before application, you trigger a chemical cross-linking reaction that produces a finish significantly harder and more chemically resistant than standard 1K systems. When to Use 2K Polyurethane 2K systems are the professional choice for commercial floors, restaurants, retail spaces, schools, and high-traffic residential areas like hallways and kitchens. They resist scuffing, chemical spills, and abrasion better than any other water-based option - and they do it without the fumes and yellowing associated with solvent-based lacquers. Our 2K range from Berger-Seidle includes the AquaSeal 2KPU in multiple sheen levels. Pair with a compatible sealer for a complete system.
