About
Wi-Fi Routers continuously emit RF radiation 24/7. We recommend detecting first with the LATNEX® AF-5000 to identify the strongest sources and directions of exposure. If your Wi-Fi signal comes from your own modem, place it as far away as possible from areas where you spend time — ideally in a basement or an unused room. Whenever possible, turn it off at night, either manually or through your router’s built-in timer or software settings. For daily use, choose a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi. When using a laptop, avoid placing it directly on your lap — use a laptop tray , or EMF-shielding clothing or blankets for protection. It’s important to distinguish between two main scenarios: Internal sources – Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth devices, and cordless phone bases inside your home. • These are under your control. Reduce use, switch off when possible, and keep distance from resting areas. • Place routers and phone bases in less-used rooms or basements. • For heavy use zones, consider EMF-shielding paint or fabric behind workstations or sleeping areas. External sources – Neighbours’ Wi-Fi, nearby routers, or DECT phone signals passing through shared walls, ceilings, or floors. • These cannot be turned off, so shielding is the most effective option. • Apply RF-IE50 shielding paint on shared walls or ceilings, or use Silverloom fabric , canopies , or floor mats to block incoming RF energy. Bluetooth & Cordless Devices Bluetooth accessories (earbuds, watches, and speakers) and DECT cordless phones emit constant RF pulses — even when idle. While their power levels are lower than Wi-Fi, they’re used very close to the body (head, wrist, or ears), which increases localised exposure. Whenever possible: Use wired headphones or speakerphone instead of Bluetooth or cordless phones. Switch Bluetooth off when not in use. Keep charging docks and cordless phone bases away from beds and workspaces , as they transmit continuously. For high-use areas, apply shielding paint or
