About

X5070 end mills are YG-1 carbide milling cutters for machining steels, heat-resistant steels and hardened steels up to HRc70. The series covers square, corner-radius and ball-nose geometries for slotting, profiling, deep-pocket work and 3D machining. Select from 2, 3, 4, 6 and multi-flute designs, with 30° or 45° helix options plus specialised 0° helix high-feed cutters. Short, stub, long-neck, extended-neck and extra-long designs provide choices for tool reach and access, while corner-radius and ball-nose profiles support finishing, profiling and 3D forms. Several high-feed and roughing options are also available for prehardened and hardened steel work. Choose the cutting shape, flute count, helix and tool length to suit the feature being machined and the required access. X5070 cutters use a nanograin carbide substrate with a silicone-based coating and are specified for dry machining applications.
