Ajrak is a block printed fabric that is dyed using natural dyes. It is manufactured by the Khatris community of Kutch, Gujarat, and is distinguished by its blue color with red - and its intricate geometric and floral patterns. Ajrak symbolizes the world. Due to the use of a colorful palate. Red for the land, black for the darkness, white for the clouds, and blue for the universe itself. The resulting fabric is soft on the skin and resembles a jewel in appearance, pleasing to the touch and attractive to the eyes.
