How Much Fabric for a Cushion Cover? Our cushion tapestry panels measure 47cm x 47 cm for a medium-sized square cushion, for larger square cushions you will need 50cm x 50cm. If you are purchasing fabric rather than ready made panels, you will need approximately 0.5 metres of 140cm width furnishing fabric for a 47cm square cushion; allow up to a metre for a 50cm square cushion once you leave a seam allowance. Rectangular cushions usually measure 30cm x 50 cm so 0.5 metres of fabric should suffice.
