However, although a tough fabric, it can be mixed with other fabrics to be made softer and stretchy. For example, to make jeans you’d probably want your denim to be mixed with elastane. This makes denim a comfortable and versatile clothing option. But its weight does mean it can also be used for soft furnishing, so long as it doesn't have any stretch to it.
