About

Door latches are the spring- or bolt-operated mechanisms installed in the edge of a door that engage the strike when the door closes. This collection includes replacement latches for door knobs, levers, locksets, and deadbolts, including passage, privacy, keyed-entry, deadlatch, spring-latch, and deadbolt-latch configurations. Available formats include adjustable and fixed backsets, drive-in latches, square-corner and radius-corner faceplates, and residential or commercial replacement components. Compatibility varies by lock series, backset, faceplate profile, door preparation, and function, so replacement latches should be matched to the existing lockset and door setup. The latch must also align with the frame-side strike. See our door strike plate guide for strike types, measurements and replacement considerations. Need help identifying the door-edge style? Our drive-in vs. faceplate door latch guide explains drive-in collars, square-corner faceplates, round-corner faceplates, backset and replacement measurements.
