About
Have you ever wished your trusty old P Bass or J Bass had a little extra oomph or sizzle? Well, you’re not alone. Ever since the late 70s, trailblazing bass players have been feeling the same way you feel. And they’ve been going to Roger Sadowsky’s shop to get that one special instrument that would let them go wherever their inspiration took them. However, Sadowsky for most of its history has been a low-production boutique builder. This used to mean that you’d have to get on the waitlist and pay a price that matches the quality of their craftsmanship. This has meant that for most of us, the Sadowsky tone and vibe has stayed out of reach. Until now. Now in its second generation, Sadowsky has released the Sadowsky MetroExpress line of J and PJ basses. These basses feature the look, feel, and vibe of the US custom shop models at a fraction of the price (US-made basses start around $6k). They come equipped with Sadowsky-designed noiseless pickups and, their secret sauce, the Sadowsky preamp.
