Anu Pentik is a renowned Finnish designer and the founder of Pentik, a globally recognized brand known for its high-quality ceramics, home decor, and design pieces. Born in Finland in 1942, Anu’s passion for design and craftsmanship began early in her life, eventually leading her to establish one of Finland’s most iconic design companies. Founded in 1971 as a small ceramics studio in Posio, Finland, Anu took inspiration from her surroundings and the natural beauty of the Finnish countryside. Anu’s ceramic tableware still continues to be the face of Pentik and has garnered significant attention around the world, most notably her Kivi, Kallio, and Posio dinnerware series.
