Heini Turunen

About

Heini Turunen is a Finnish textile designer recognized for her thoughtful and nature-inspired designs. She has a background in visual arts and education, and especially gained an interest in surfaces and pattern design. About her designs, she states, "I get inspiration from little details around like interesting color combinations, natural phenomena and music." Some of her work is in collaboration with Finnish brand Lapuan Kankurit, where she designed the recent SAVU design, which was created as part of Sauna Finland’s project to develop an idea or a product that signals Finnish sauna culture to an international target audience.
