PGI has manufactured flame-resistant protective garments out of Green Lake, Wisconsin since 1942, and its BarriAire and FireLine product lines are among the most recognized names in wildland and particulate-blocking PPE. Fire Safety USA carries the full range here. The BarriAire Gold particulate hoods and masks combine flame-resistant fabric with an inner layer of DuPont Nomex Nano Flex to block smoke, soot, and airborne particulates down to 0.1 microns, available in Comfort Plus, Elite Pro, and Carbon Shield configurations. On the wildland side, PGI's FireLine Ground Pounder coats and pants (6 oz Nomex IIIA) and Smokechaser Deluxe coats and pants (7 oz Tecasafe Plus) are built for the breathability and range of motion wildland crews need on extended deployments.
