Footplate, in partnership with Dapol , is launching a new UK-developed range of 16mm narrow gauge ready-to-run rolling stock. The range begins with Rheidol-inspired open wagons in five liveries—including a standout Colman’s Mustard design—priced from £69.99 and available in 32mm and 45mm gauge, featuring insulated metal wheelsets and sprung centre buffers. Future releases will include flat wagons, brake vans, coaches and more as the range expands. Produced exclusively for Footplate, the project also supports investment in UK tooling and manufacturing, helping sustain the skills behind these home-grown models.
