Every piece is designed at our Mumbai studio and handcrafted by skilled artisans in India, primarily in solid teak, mango and acacia wood. We do not manufacture at scale and avoid the use of engineered woods or veneers. What wood does Freedom Tree use? Our primary timber species are teak, mango and acacia. We also work in sheesham (Indian rosewood) and use sustainable rattan and cane for wicker pieces. The choice of wood affects both the look and price of a piece — our team can advise on which timber suits your space and budget. How do I care for solid wood furniture? Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners, direct sunlight, and placing hot or wet objects directly on the surface.
