Aaron Judge is the captain of the New York Yankees and the defining player of his era in the American League. He's the only Yankee besides Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, and Mickey Mantle to win three AL MVP Awards — a "Mount Rushmore" group, as Judge himself put it. After winning his first MVP in 2022 by breaking Roger Maris's AL single-season home run record with 62, he won a second by unanimous vote in 2024 and a third in 2025, becoming the first Yankee since Maris and Mantle to win in back-to-back years. 2025 was arguably his best season yet. Judge won his first batting title, hitting .331 with 53 home runs, 114 RBIs, and a Major League-leading 1.144 OPS, and led the AL in average, on-base, slugging, runs, walks, and total bases. He became just the third player in history to pair a batting title with 50 home runs, joining Mantle (1956) and Jimmie Foxx (1938). What he hasn't won yet is a World Series — the one piece of the résumé that still drives him.
