About
Andruw Jones is one of the greatest defensive center fielders in baseball history. The Curaçao-born star spent 12 of his 17 MLB seasons with the Atlanta Braves, anchoring center field during the franchise's run of 14 consecutive division titles. His ten consecutive Gold Glove Awards from 1998 to 2007 are the most ever by a center fielder, and his five All-Star selections plus the 2005 Silver Slugger (51 HR, 128 RBI) cemented his place among the elite two-way outfielders of his generation. Jones burst onto the national stage as a 19-year-old in the 1996 World Series, hitting two home runs in Game 1 against the Yankees and becoming the youngest player ever to homer in a Fall Classic. His career numbers — 434 home runs, 1,289 RBI, and defensive metrics that put him in the conversation with Willie Mays — have kept his Hall of Fame case alive on the BBWAA ballot, with his vote totals climbing meaningfully each year. The card collector's view Jones's flagship rookie is the 1996 Bowman Chrome #100 — released the same summer he hit those World Series home runs as a teenager. Refractor parallels and his 1996 Bowman base rookie are the chase pieces. His 1997 issues from Topps, Upper Deck, and Bowman are widely available and affordable for collectors building Braves dynasty sets. FreshDCards doesn't currently carry an Andruw Jones-specific plaque, but Braves fans can browse the full Atlanta Braves collection for team-themed plaques, card sets, and bundles featuring Jones and his teammates.
