About
Anthony Davis is one of the most physically gifted big men of his era. The #1 overall pick in 2012 out of Kentucky — where he won a national championship as a freshman — Davis has won an NBA championship (2020 with the Lakers alongside LeBron James), made ten All-Star teams, earned four First-Team All-NBA selections, and finished top-5 in MVP voting multiple times during his prime in New Orleans and Los Angeles. His combination of rim protection, mid-range shooting, and ball-handling for a 6-foot-10 forward made him one of the most versatile defenders in modern basketball. In February 2025, the Lakers shipped Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in a blockbuster trade for Luka Doncic — one of the most surprising deals in recent NBA history. Davis joined a Dallas core that he and Cooper Flagg (the 2025-26 Rookie of the Year) now anchor, with Mavs ownership betting that AD's defensive impact plus Flagg's two-way ceiling can keep Dallas in the title conversation. The card collector's view Davis's rookie cards come from the 2012-13 NBA class — a deep group that included Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal. His 2012-13 Panini Prizm #251 is the flagship base rookie, with Silver Prizms, color refractors, and the 2012-13 National Treasures RPA driving the premium chase. PSA 10 base Prizms still trade healthy. FreshDCards doesn't currently carry an Anthony Davis-specific plaque, but Mavericks fans can browse the full Dallas Mavericks collection for team-themed plaques and card sets featuring Davis and his teammates.
