About

Bobby Orr is the Boston Bruins' Hall of Fame defenseman widely regarded as the greatest defenseman in NHL history — winner of eight consecutive Norris Trophies, two Stanley Cups (1970, 1972), and the only defenseman to ever win the Art Ross Trophy. Orr's NHL career spanned 12 seasons from 1966 to 1979, mostly with the Bruins, winning two Stanley Cups with Boston before chronic knee injuries forced his early retirement at age 30. Orr's 'Flying Goal' to win the 1970 Stanley Cup in overtime against the Blues is one of hockey's most iconic photographs. He won eight consecutive Norris Trophies as the NHL's top defenseman (1968-1975). Orr is the only defenseman in NHL history to win the Art Ross Trophy — and he did it twice (1970, 1975). The card collector's view Orr's rookie card is the 1966-67 Topps #35 — one of the most iconic and chased vintage hockey cards in the hobby, with high-grade examples driving headline auction prices. Vintage Topps and O-Pee-Chee releases from 1967-79 capture his entire Bruins career. Modern Upper Deck SP Authentic, The Cup, and various retrospective Bruins sets provide accessible signature and jersey memorabilia for the greatest defenseman collection.
