Bobby Witt Jr. is the Kansas City Royals' franchise shortstop and one of the most exciting players in baseball. The 2nd overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft out of Colleyville Heritage High School in Texas, Witt has finished runner-up to Aaron Judge in 2024 AL MVP voting and fourth in 2025 — a back-to-back top-five finish that puts him squarely in the conversation for best shortstop in the game. He led MLB in hits in 2024 (211) and again in 2025 (184), led the AL in batting average in 2024 (.332), and has paired that bat with two consecutive Gold Glove Awards and back-to-back Platinum-Glove-caliber defense. His father Bobby Witt pitched 16 seasons in the majors; the elder Witt also serves as his son's agent.
