About
Calvin Johnson — known across the league as "Megatron" — is one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history. The 2nd overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech, Johnson spent his entire nine-year career with the Detroit Lions, making six Pro Bowls, earning three First-Team All-Pro selections, and setting the NFL single-season receiving yards record in 2012 with 1,964 yards — a mark that still stands. His induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021 came in his first year of eligibility. At 6-foot-5 with 4.35 speed and hands the size of dinner plates, Johnson was a physical mismatch nightmare for every cornerback who ever lined up across from him. His retirement after the 2015 season at age 30 — citing the toll of playing on bad Lions teams and concerns about his long-term health — remains one of the most discussed early-career exits in NFL history. He left at the top of his game, and the modern Lions are only now reaching the kind of contention his peak-era teams could never quite achieve. The card collector's view Johnson's flagship rookie is the 2007 Topps Chrome Refractor #110 . His 2007 SP Authentic, Bowman Chrome, and Playoff Contenders Rookie Ticket Auto rookies drive the premium tier. The 2007 NFL rookie class also featured Adrian Peterson, so Megatron rookies have shared a strong era-defining hobby presence. For Lions fans, our Calvin Johnson plaques pair licensed cards from his Detroit career in display-ready formats — Hall of Fame receiver, real cards, fan-cave ready.
