About

Chipper Jones is one of the greatest switch-hitters in baseball history and one of the most beloved Atlanta Braves players ever. The #1 overall pick of the 1990 MLB Draft, Jones spent his entire 19-year MLB career (1993-2012) wearing Braves red, white, and blue — winning the 1999 NL MVP, the 1995 World Series, eight All-Star selections, two Silver Sluggers, and finishing his career with a .303 batting average, 468 home runs, and 1,623 RBI before being inducted into Cooperstown in 2018. Jones's 2008 batting title (.364) at age 36 was one of the great late-career performances of the modern era. He was the cornerstone of the Braves' dynasty alongside Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, and John Smoltz, and his number 10 is retired at Truist Park. As a switch-hitter with power from both sides and the ability to hit for average, Chipper was the rare third baseman who could anchor a lineup for two decades. The card collector's view Jones's flagship rookie is the 1991 Topps Traded #1T , with his 1991 Score, Upper Deck Final Edition, and Stadium Club rookies also part of his rookie class. The 1991 Topps Traded card in high grade has been a long-time collector chase. Most Jones cards from his playing career remain affordable mid-tier collectibles. FreshDCards doesn't currently carry a Chipper Jones-specific plaque, but Braves fans can browse the full Atlanta Braves collection for team-themed plaques and card sets featuring Chipper and his teammates.
