About

Funn Fantom alloy wheels come in three internal widths so the rim matches the tyre — plus hubs and rims sold separately for custom builds, and the spares to keep them rolling. Rim width sets the tyre shape Internal width decides how your tyre sits: too narrow and a big tyre balloons and squirms, too wide and a small tyre squares off. The Fantom range covers the spread — AM30 at 25mm internal for XC and trail tyres, AM35 at 30mm for trail and enduro, and AM40 at 35mm for wide enduro rubber. The Fantom wheelsets compared All three wheelsets run 32 spokes front and rear, in 27.5in or 29in, Boost or non-Boost. The AM30 is the lightest at 1805g to 1905g, the AM35 sits in the middle at 1895g to 1995g, and the AM40 trades weight for width at 2045g to 2145g. Hubs and freehub standards The Fantom hub runs 15 x 110mm Boost up front at 168g and 12 x 148mm Boost at the rear at 334g, with freehub options for Shimano HG, Micro Spline and SRAM XD. Check which standard your cassette uses before ordering the rear. Building your own The Fantom rim is sold on its own in all three widths — 420g to 570g, 32 holes, 27.5in or 29in — for riders rebuilding a wheel or speccing a custom build around their own hubs. Serviceable by design Spare cassette bodies and QR converter end caps are stocked as standard, so a worn freehub is a part swap rather than a new wheel.
