Necessity is the mother of innovation. Founder Zach Hein created Range meal bars while attending college in Montana because smaller energy bars weren’t cutting it for his weekend adventures or long days on campus. The largest bars on the market were still shy of 400 calories, and he found them to be dry and overpriced. After experimenting with some calorically dense, whole ingredients, he eventually came to the recipe for the original flavor, Alpine Start. Read Range's full story here .
