Each version in the AGL-1 collection is optimized for specific transformation needs, whether maximizing efficiency, enabling specialized vector systems, or boosting transient and stable expression in challenging plant species. AGL-1 Variants AGL-1 (Electrocompetent & Chemically Competent Cells) Core AGL-1 strains, ideal for gDNA/cDNA library construction and routine Agrobacterium-mediated transformation in both monocots and dicots. AGL-1 (pSoup) Includes the pSoup helper plasmid required for replication of pGreen, pGS2, 62SK, and related binary vectors, perfect for labs using pGreen-based systems. AGL-1 (pSoup-P19) Adds the p19 silencing suppressor, improving transcript stability and dramatically increasing transient expression, especially in dicots like Arabidopsis , tobacco, and potato. AGL-1 (pSuperAgro® v4) – Electrocompetent & Chemically Competent Cells An advanced, licensed strain featuring AcdS and GabT activity to suppress ethylene and degrade GABA during co-cultivation. The result: significantly enhanced T-DNA transfer, higher transformation efficiency, and improved performance in tomato, grasses, and difficult species.
