Neuregulin‑1 beta proteins contain EGF‑like domains that bind ErbB3/ErbB4 receptors, triggering signaling cascades essential for nervous system and cardiac development. These growth factors regulate neurotransmitter receptor expression, promote Schwann cell and oligodendrocyte differentiation, and support heart muscle growth and repair.
