A synthetic outer is a regular diaper cover waterproof fabric which is made of polyester with TPU (PUL). Synthetic stay-dry fabric next to baby can extend the time in between diaper changes. This can be done with a stay-dry pocket diaper with natural fiber absorbency or a stay-dry all-in-one (AIO) diaper. Another way is a diaper and cover system with a stay-dry liner or stay-dry doubler added to it next to baby. Adding the stay-dry layer with a liner or doubler gives you a lot of flexibility so you can choose to use the stay-dry or not as needed. Stay-dry may be useful for night or nap diapers, or for daycare diapering. Anytime you can't change often and need to have extra time between diaper changes, adding a stay-dry layer might help. This category is the same as Fabric Option 2 but adds stay-dry doublers and liners, stay-dry pocket diaper and AIOS what have a stay-dry component built in.
