Drip irrigation applies water through tubing, emitters, drip tape, emitterline, micro-sprayers, or soaker hose. A successful layout starts with the water source and the plants being watered, then matches every component to the available pressure, flow, connection type, run length, soil, and planting pattern. Choose the delivery method Individual emitters for point-source watering near selected plants Emitterline for closely spaced plantings and flexible runs Drip tape for compatible low-pressure row layouts Micro-sprinklers and sprayers for defined area coverage Soaker hose for compatible beds and landscape runs Complete the system Select poly tubing and fittings by actual dimensions and connection style. Add the filtration and pressure regulation required by the delivery components. A compatible timer can automate the schedule, but watering frequency and duration still need adjustment for weather, soil, root depth, and plant demand.
