About
Drip emitters release water at selected points along an irrigation layout. Choose an emitter by its stated flow rate, operating-pressure range, connection type, filtration requirement, and whether the flow is fixed, adjustable, inline, or pressure-compensating. Plant spacing, soil, slope, and run length also affect the layout. Select an emitter for the planting Fixed-flow emitters provide a stated output under specified conditions. Adjustable emitters let the user tune flow or coverage within the product range. Inline emitters can be placed along compatible small tubing for multiple plants. Use compatible poly tubing and fittings , and install the filter and pressure regulator required by the selected emitters. For area coverage rather than individual points, compare micro-sprinklers and sprayers .
