Char's Counterattack is the final entry in the "Original Gundam" lineup, concluding the arcs of Char vs. Amuro and Federation vs. Zeon. Released in 1988, the animation and mobile suit designs were groundbreaking for the time, and those designs have been reimagined and brought to life across over 50 products despite only being in one feature-length film. (The Nightingale and Hi-Nu are technically from another version of the story called Beltorchika's Children .)
