Genshin Impact is a Chinese mobile/video game developed by HoYoverse (2020). World-traversing twins, Aether and Lumine, travel to Teyvat and encounter a being called the 'Sustainer of Heavenly Principles,' who separates the twins and seals away the playable twin for 500 years. Upon waking, the player, now called 'The Traveler,' meets Paimon, who accompanies them on their journey to find their missing twin. Together, they explore Teyvat and its seven nations, each with its own unique history.
