Gundam Build Divers is the spiritual successor to the world of Gundam Build Fighters, where pilots enter a virtual cyberspace network to participate in Gunpla battles. It was followed by a sequel series, Gundam Build Divers RE:RISE, that featured a Core Gundam gimmick that allowed base units to be mixed and matched with weapon and armor sets, creating a greater range of customization options than any Gundam series before.
