All of the Organic Hybrid Futons are Certified Organic Futons made entirely of untreated Wool, Organic Cotton and Organic Botanical. All Natural Latex. They feature All-Natural Latex, which is a natural form of foam rubber created from the sap of the Asian Rubber Tree. This natural material does not off-gas toxic gasses into the sleeping environment as do synthetic foams used in most futons. In addition, our latex core is 100% Botanical and Organic Latex as opposed to blended latex whereby latex and synthetic polystyrene petrochemicals are blended together. The futons at Haiku Designs are made from 100% pure latex. This is a more costly type of latex but we feel your health is worth it. Hybrid Construction Our Organic Futons incorporates a hybrid construction combining the best elements of natural and organic materials. Starting with a Natural Latex core of 2, 3 or 6 inches, the core is surrounded with soft Organic Lofted Cotton, followed by a layer of garneted Organic Wool, and then the entire package is quilted in an Organic Cotton Luxurious Damask cover for extra comfort.
