Sauna Buckets & Ladles

About

Sauna Buckets & Ladles A bucket and ladle are the most essential accessories in any traditional sauna. They're how you create löyly — the Finnish word for the burst of steam produced when you pour water over hot heater stones. That steam is what transforms a dry sauna room into a humid, enveloping heat that opens pores, relaxes muscles, and makes the session feel complete. Without a bucket and ladle, you're just sitting in a hot room. With them, you're actually bathing in steam the way Finns have for thousands of years. We carry Kolo sauna bucket and ladle sets — Finnish-designed, aluminum and bamboo construction, available in multiple styles to match your sauna's aesthetic. Want to add scent to your steam? Add a few drops of essential oil to the bucket water before ladling it onto the stones. Read our guide: Integrating Aromatherapy into Your Sauna Experience . Kolo Bucket & Ladle Sets Kolo is a Finnish brand that designs sauna accessories with a focus on Scandinavian minimalism and functional durability. All Kolo bucket and ladle sets share the same core specs: 1-gallon (5L) aluminum bucket, bamboo wood ladle, 100% leakproof construction, and materials rated for the extreme heat of a sauna environment. Each set comes in your choice of black or white finish. The difference between sets is the handle style and how the ladle integrates with the bucket. Kolo Set 1 (Ladle-as-Handle) — The signature Kolo design. The ladle doubles as the bucket handle — store the ladle inside the bucket and it becomes a convenient carrying grip. Grooves at the top of the bucket hold the ladle in place when you're not using it. A clever multi-functional design that keeps everything together. Kolo Set 2 (Curved Handle) — Features a gracefully curved bamboo handle on the bucket for a more traditional carrying experience. The ladle is a separate piece. The curved handle adds a decorative element and some people find it more natural to grip than the ladle-as-handle approach. Kolo Set
