Swimmer cut plates feature angled upper corners that reduce shoulder interference and improve arm mobility, making them the preferred choice for shooters, operators, and anyone who needs full range of motion while wearing a plate carrier. The cut is compatible with the vast majority of modern plate carriers designed for swimmer or hybrid sizing. Hoplite Armor offers swimmer plates at NIJ Level III+ and Level IV, in UHMWPE polyethylene and ceramic composite constructions. Level III+ swimmer plates provide multi-hit protection against common rifle threats at a lighter weight than ceramic.
