IRIS (3-9x40 and 4-12x44) is the simple, affordable pick for rimfires and air rifles. Immersive scopes are fixed power: 5x30, 10x40 and 14x50. FFP or SFP? A first focal plane (FFP) reticle grows and shrinks with the zoom, so your holdover marks are right at any magnification. A second focal plane (SFP) reticle stays the same size, which is easy to see on low power, but the holdovers only line up at one setting. If you hold over a lot at distance, go FFP. If you mostly zero and shoot dead on, SFP does the job. Mounts, binos and the rest Match your tube with Element XT mounts in 30 mm or 1 inch, Picatinny or dovetail. There's also the Helix HD 10x42 and 8x42 binoculars, and the Element rangefinders . Element backs its scopes with its Platinum Lifetime Warranty.
