GamFratesi designed the Beetle Chair for GUBI in 2013, taking the insect's sections literally: shape, shells, sutures, a rigid outside and a soft inside. The shell is injection moulded, hand trimmed and varied in thickness so it flexes with the body while holding its line. One design, many forms. Plastic, veneer or fully upholstered shells; conic, wood, plastic or stackable bases; more than 500 fabrics and leathers to choose from.
