Fuji Electric FRENIC-Ace (E2) General-Purpose Variable Frequency Drives The FRENIC-Ace (E2) is Fuji Electric's general-purpose drive series and the volume workhorse of the FRENIC line. Available from 1/4 HP to 450 HP on 230 V and 460 V three-phase supplies, it is built around the applications where variable-speed control returns the most money: centrifugal fans, pumps and compressors running on variable-torque loads. Energy savings and control performance The E2's optimized energy-saving V/f mode automatically trims output voltage at partial load to cut motor iron losses, delivering savings of up to 30% against fixed-speed operation on variable-torque loads. When an application needs tighter regulation than V/f can provide, dynamic torque vector control improves low-speed torque and transient response without adding an encoder. Most models carry a dual Normal Duty / Heavy Duty rating , so one drive family covers both variable-torque fans and pumps and constant-torque conveyors and machinery.
