The extended tenon geometry produces a long shoulder that increases glue surface area and mechanical strength in mortise-and-tenon joinery — a significant advantage over shorter coped joints in chairs and tables that see racking stress. The Insert-Pro Extended Tenon Shaper Cutter Master System provides a complete starting kit, while the Infinity Tools Extended Tenon Shaper Cutter Sets (1-1/4" Bore) let you configure the system to your existing shaper spindle. Both run on the same 1-1/4" bore standard used across the Insert-Pro line.
