There are two types of noise, airborne noise which for example is voices, music, TV's etc and impact noise which is noise like footsteps and furniture moving. Soundproof underlays are installed beneath carpets & tiles and effective at reducing both airborne and impact noise. Acoustic boards are suitable for timber joist and concrete floors, reducing noise between floors. Using mineral wool insulation between the floor joist reduces sound amplification within cavities and as with the boards reduces the noise between floors. Our acoustic floor products are suitable for new build and refurbishment projects, and are ideal for apartments or older buildings that need upgrading.
