What is Green Plasterboard? Commonly known in the trade as green plasterboard, moisture resistant plasterboard is easily identified by its distinctive green paper face. The green colour shows that the board has been treated to withstand moisture better than standard plasterboard . It's suitable for both wall and ceiling applications in these areas. While not fully waterproof, water resistant plasterboard significantly slows moisture absorption, making it suitable for areas with high humidity and occasional water exposure. For areas with direct and constant water exposure (such as wet rooms or showers), specialist tile backer boards are recommended.
