The Evans G1 is a single-ply drum head offering an open, resonant sound with a wide dynamic range and a natural, expressive feel. As Evans' entry-level single-ply batter head, the G1 is a popular choice for jazz, acoustic, and lighter playing styles where maximum resonance and sensitivity are preferred over dampening and control. Available in Clear (brighter, more open) and Coated (warmer, with a slightly drier attack) finishes. Individual sizes available from 8" through 10" , 12" , 13" , 14" , and 16" in both Clear and Coated finishes, plus a G1 Coated 22" bass drum head and matched tom packs in 10"/12"/14", 10"/12"/16", and 12"/13"/16" configurations in both finishes.
