Elegant yet uncomplicated, the Plum Blossom fabric is decorated with a blue floral pattern on a white ground. The flowers feature a unique crackled look, as if stamped with dried flowers. This fabric is imported from Japan and is made of 100% cotton. Known as ume (梅) in Japanese, plum blossoms grow on deciduous trees in Eastern Asia. Not to be mistaken to be cherry blossoms (sakura; 桜), plum blossoms are considered a harbinger of spring in Japan, since they typically bloom in early March. They are known as a symbol of renewal, perseverance, and hope.
