Simply dampen your sponge with a bit of water and swipe your sponge back and forward over the surface of the paint making sure not to muddy up the colors. It is always best to hold your cake with the stripes going up and down and slightly tiled so that the extra water can run down without mixing your colors. Once your sponge is well loaded simply apply to the skin.
