About
Traditional Lehenga Some are for a single night. The traditional lehenga is not one of them. Every woman in rajasthan can tell you what her first lehenga was like. She will tell you the colour and she will tell you who gifted it to her. This is the type of attire that KCPC Bandhani creates. Not trendy, fast fashion but real artisan work made by hand in Sikar. This collection has 297 items at the moment. There are some simple enough to wear during a puja in the family while there are some which can be used on the wedding stage. Factors That Make Lehenga Traditional The lehenga is made up of three parts. The lehenga, the choli and the dupatta. Traditional does not have anything to do with the style of the dress. Traditional has something to do with the designs on the fabric. The traditional lehenga will always be true to its craft. Hand-stitched gota patti. Dot by dot bandhani. Hand-woven zari border. Stone and cutdana embroidery one by one. A printed design can look quite similar to that in the picture within ten minutes on the machine. But you cannot touch that weight in your hands. This is the difference we need to preserve. Handwork That Is Here For You Gota patti: This is indigenous to rajasthan. Thinnest gold or silver ribbons are cut into various forms and sewn on to the fabric. Shapes such as leaves, flowers and borders are created. Our Jaipuri Gota Patti Lehenga Sets are the most favorite ones from this range. Bandhani: Otherwise known as Bandhej. Thousands of small knots are tied on the cloth which is subsequently dyed. Because of the knot, no color reaches that particular area and so a small white spot appears there. A well-done Bandhani Lehenga will have lakhs of these spots. Zari work: Gold or silver threads embroidered into the cloth itself. Common in our Banarasi style Lehengas. Zardozi & Cutdana: Heavier work with metal threads, beads & cuts. Seen on Bridal and Reception Lehengas. Works well with Mirror and Stone: Picks up light when it is move
