About
Bench grinders are fixed workshop machines for sharpening tools, shaping metal, removing burrs and cleaning parts with a wire wheel. Fabrication shops, machine shops, garages and maintenance teams keep one on the bench for daily use. This collection includes bench grinders from 5" to 10" and replacement grinding wheels. How to choose a bench grinder Wheel size: 5" and 6" grinders suit sharpening and light shop work. 8" grinders give more grinding surface. 10" models are for heavy grinding in fabrication shops. Motor power: 1/4HP to 1/3HP handles sharpening and light deburring. 1/2HP to 3/4HP and above keeps speed when pressing larger parts against the wheel. Features: eye shields, adjustable tool rests and a built-in lamp make the work safer and easier to see. Wheels: most grinders come with a coarse and a fine wheel. Replace them with the correct size and arbor hole.
