C-clamps, also called G-clamps, hold workpieces to a bench or to each other for welding, drilling, gluing and assembly. This collection also has locking C-clamp pliers that lock in place with a lever. How to choose a C-clamp Screw C-clamps: drop forged clamps (Lobster, Stanley Maxsteel, Butterfly #931) are strong for welding and metal work. Aluminium clamps from JB are lighter. Locking C-clamp pliers: Irwin ViseGrip, Wadfow, Workpro and Ingco models in 6" and 11" lock quickly. Swivel tips grip uneven surfaces without marking them.
