About
An engine stand holds an engine at working height and lets you rotate it, so you can rebuild, inspect and clean it from every side. Auto repair shops, truck and diesel mechanics and engine rebuilders use them once the engine is out of the vehicle. How to choose an engine stand Load capacity: choose a rating above the weight of your engine. The Ingco HEC051 and Total THT110051 are rated at 450kg (1,000 lbs), and the S-Ks JM-52002 at 2,000 lbs. Mounting head: check that the adjustable arms fit the bolt pattern on the back of your engine block. Base and wheels: a wide base with locking casters keeps the stand stable while you move and work on the engine. Related Lift the engine onto the stand with an engine crane or hoist .
