About
Extension ladders slide out to reach roofs, ceilings, walls and tall structures, then retract for carrying and storage. Electricians, painters, roofers, maintenance crews and telco installers use them where an A-type ladder is not tall enough. How to choose an extension ladder Fiberglass or aluminium: fiberglass ladders do not conduct electricity, so they are the right choice for electrical work and near power lines. Aluminium ladders are lighter to carry. Length: choose a ladder that extends past the roof edge or landing. The Trump range covers 20, 24 and 28 steps. Load rating: the rating must cover your weight plus tools and materials. Louisville ladders are rated from 200 lbs to 300 lbs. Sections and hooks: 3-section ladders reach higher for their stored length, and top hooks (Indestro) hold onto poles and edges.
