About
Impact drivers drive screws and small bolts with quick rotary blows that add torque without twisting your wrist. Carpenters, roofers, steel framers, aircon installers and assemblers use them for tek screws, long wood screws, lag bolts and repetitive fastening. How to choose an impact driver Voltage: 12V drivers are compact for cabinets and light assembly. 18V and 20V drivers are the standard for site work, and 40V drivers add more power for heavy fastening. Torque: 135Nm to 170Nm handles most screws. 200Nm and above drives long lag screws and bolts with ease. Brushless motor: brushless drivers run cooler, last longer and get more work out of each battery. Kit or bare tool: a kit includes batteries and a charger. Choose the bare tool if you already use the same battery system. An impact driver is faster for long or large screws and has a 1/4" hex chuck. A drill driver gives more control for small screws and drilling round-shank bits. Many users keep both. Use impact-rated screwdriver bits that can take the blows, see cordless impact drivers by brand, or choose an impact wrench for nuts and bolts. All products from KHM Megatools are genuine and covered by the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
