Jigsaw blades decide how fast and how clean your jigsaw cuts. This collection includes blades for wood, metal, aluminium, stainless steel, plastic and laminates, sold as singles, packs and mixed sets. How to choose a jigsaw blade Shank type: most jigsaws use T-shank blades. Some older tools use U-shank or Makita-type shanks, so check your jigsaw before buying. Material: HCS blades are for wood and soft materials. HSS and bi-metal blades cut metal. Bi-metal blades last longer and bend without breaking. Tooth size: fewer, larger teeth cut wood fast. More, finer teeth give clean cuts in thin metal and laminates. Straight or curved cuts: narrow blades such as the Bosch T119BO and T308BO follow curves. Wider blades cut straighter lines.
