About
Founded in Edmonton, Canada, in 2017 by recording engineer and entrepreneur Darren Nakonechny , Flock Audio was established to modernise traditional studio patching through digitally controlled analogue routing. The company introduced its groundbreaking PATCH System , allowing engineers to connect, manage and recall complex analogue signal chains without manually repatching cables. Its expanding range includes the PATCH LT, PATCH, PATCH VT and PATCH XT with Flock Audio relocating its headquarters and manufacturing operations to Fort Worth, Texas, in 2025 At the heart of Flock Audio's technology is a patented, digitally controlled, 100% analogue routing matrix, maintaining a transparent signal path without AD/DA conversion or processing latency. Controlled through the company's PATCH APP software, the system enables instant routing recall, parallel processing, signal multing and flexible outboard integration, with independently assignable 48V phantom power for microphone connections. Designed for professional recording, mixing and mastering environments, Flock Audio combines the sonic integrity of traditional analogue patching with the speed, flexibility and recall capabilities of modern digital studio workflows.
